No, there was some thought that they might make it multi-player on Live, but that got scrapped. I'm pretty sure the multi-player version wasn't slated to be MM.

Basically, my motto still stands. I will not buy an XBOX game unless it's XBOX Live Enabled (Live Play). The only one I made an exception for was Ninja Gaiden, but that's the only one. Fable is way over hyped and there are too many things that can go wrong, so bring your hopes down a little bit.
